There was, what looked like, a major storm coming into Myrtle Beach today. It seemed to be coming up from the Charleston area and was turning the sky to the south very dark and ominous. I thought it was going to be a really bad one, but, it never hit. It went out to sea and didn't give us the storm that I expected.
This is a panorama that I took the pictures for last year. I had them, but I didn't really know how to get it to really work how I wanted to. I have since learned some techniques to get it to look how I saw it and now I am happy to share it with you.
Snowy Egrets are absolutely lovely birds. I remember when I saw my first one when I moved here to South Carolina. I thought it was a rare occurance and was so upset with myself that I didn't capture a picture, but I came to find out that they are kind of common in the area. I just need to find a place and wait. Photography is a lot of patience. Sometimes I just like to set up my chair with my camera and wait. Sometimes I don't know what I am waiting for, but I will know it when I see it.
