I love collecting statues and figures, especially from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have an entire shelf devoted to them. It may not seem like much, but that is much for me. Some of them have some wonderful details that I love capturing and sharing. Sally is the deuteragonist of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. She is a humanoid ragdoll created by Dr. Finkelstein.
I love when clouds get a pink tint to them during sunsets. I really love taking pictures during sunset and sunrises. The problem I face is that I don't have places to go to capture them. Well, what I mean are places that give a nice clear view of the sky or skyline. It is one of the many things I miss about living in the North East. I could climb a mountain and get a beautiful view of the sunset from so many places. It is so flat down here in South Carolina that I have difficult finding open skies.
The red lionfish (Pterois volitans) is a venomous coral reef fish. I could post the wikipedia text, but that would be a little silly for me to do. I always find it so intriguing that the most beautiful fish in the ocean are also the most deadly. I guess it is strange how that works. I took this at a local aquarium. I would love to get back there, since I have a year pass, but this time of year may be a little crowded.
