This willow tree was uprooted during hurricane Matthew. I wasn't sure what they were going to do about it, but I am glad they have attempted to re-root it. It was very pretty when it was in bloom. I was lucky to capture this at the right time when the sun was just poking through.
I hadn't been out to capture a sunrise in a while, and I thought that this day would be a little fitting for some personal reasons of things going on in my life. It is always difficult to determine what the clouds coverage is going to look like before I head out, so sometimes it is a little bit of a risk of not being able to capture what I am looking for. I think I did a good job on this one.
Here is a picture I captured of the full moon rising during the summer solstice. I have said it before, and I will say it again, oh how I wish I had a more powerful telephoto lens to capture the moon.
