When I drive around looking for wonderful things to capture, I sometimes forget that not everyone has seen the things that I see every day. Old beat-up cars, falling over barns or even old tractors that are still in use because they still run and aren't broken. I guess that is what makes a good tractor. As long as it runs and does what it is suppose to do there is no need to replace it.
I love finding older things when I am out exploring. This was a beautiful find, that I would have missed if I wasn't looking. At first glance it didn't look like it was still in use, but after looking at this picture for a few moments I can see that the blades on the back and the exhaust are new, so it is still in use. I guess there are some pieces of equipment that just need to have parts replaced now and then to keep them running for a long time.
I wish I could figure out how to get to this bridge to get some better pictures of it, but it looks like, from this, that I can only get to it if I have a boat. A boat would allow me to get some really nice pictures if I would go up and down the river, but until I can afford a boat I will just have to admire from the distance, or save up for a better telephoto lens. I really hope you enjoy this one. I do.
