This is a little pathway to the beach at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I looked for a place to capture a picture that would show the ocean also, but I just felt the closer I got to the ocean the less feeling I got from the foliage. I hope you enjoy this.
I am sometimes lucky enough to find beautiful flowers and plants very close to where I live. It is always a pleasure finding them in bloom. I was lucky enough to see that the label of this was still attached, so I didn't have to go through my normal process of trying to find out what type of flowers these are. The label had said Tuscarora, but I discovered the more common name is Crape Myrtle. I hope you enjoy this.
I was out driving one day, searching for something, like I always do and my mom called me and asked me if I saw that area of lovely orange flowers by the auto sale place. I knew the one she was talking about, so I went over there and I couldn't believe that I had missed these when I was out that was a couple days before. They are absolutely lovely flowers when there are so many bunched together, and then when you take a closer look you see they have a lot of depth in their colors.
