I find that pictures of things that I see every day, close up, really look so much different and enjoyable. I spend too much time looking at the big picture and not paying attention to the details. I know that there are people that say I should be doing the opposite, but as a photographer, I have to pay attention to those small details. I hope the small details in this palm tree trunk is enjoyable for you.
One of the things I love about Broadway At The Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is how calm the seagulls are. I can get very close to them to capture pictures. There are some that I can walk close to, but once I point a camera at them they fly away. I guess they are camera shy. I think they are beautiful birds. You would think living near the beach I would become desensitized to them.
I haven't spent a enough time exploring in South Carolina since I have moved. I have driven around looking for things, but in places I use to live I would go on hiking trails and get off the main roads. I am not sure why I haven't done that a lot since I have moved. This is a tree that I always loved on a trail near where I use to live in Pennsylvania. I always enjoyed seeing it. I found it very relaxing and peaceful. It might have been because I rarely saw anyone when I was on this trail. I hope to get out and explore more soon.
