The red lionfish (Pterois volitans) is a venomous coral reef fish. I could post the wikipedia text, but that would be a little silly for me to do. I always find it so intriguing that the most beautiful fish in the ocean are also the most deadly. I guess it is strange how that works. I took this at a local aquarium. I would love to get back there, since I have a year pass, but this time of year may be a little crowded.
Here is a picture I captured at Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens in Little River yesterday. You can see the rain that was coming in that caused me to leave. It is really a wonderful picture, and I think it may be one of my favorites from the last few weeks.
I guess they will throw power lines up anywhere it is convenient. The entire Lake Busbee has power lines all over and I couldn't get a shot without them. So, I got a shot that showcased them. The clouds are the real showcase though. I don't they could be more perfect than that.
