I know that the 'under the pier' shot is a very typical shot to do at the beach, but I always love how they look. It took me a while to find the right pier to use. A bit of walking, and a bit of driving around to different beaches, but it was worth it. There are more things that I would love to do with the piers in the future, but for now, this is my favorite pier shot.
Sometimes really awesome things can be found in the middle of the chaos of highways and shopping malls. I thought this chapel is beautiful, so with most beautiful things I see I like to take out my camera and take a picture. This is a little chapel in Conway, South Carolina on 501. It was built in 1972. There has been a few cases of vandals and a case of fire, but it was rebuilt. 12 people can sit in the chapel, and many people have used it for wedding ceremonies. It is one of the smallest churches in America.
"In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes."
What would you do with that 15 minutes? Would you do enough to turn it into 30? Maybe even 60? That is what I am trying to do, I guess. I just want my 15 minutes, for something good. For something that I can be remembered by. A photo maybe. I know I have made impacts in people's lives, and I love that. I know that I will be remembered, and maybe I am just being greedy wanting more, but I want to share my photos with more people. That may be a problem though, because I don't seem to have a style. I don't think there is anything about my photos that someone would look at and say, "That is a Scott Kwiecinski photograph."
So, what would you do with your 15 minutes?
