Here is a picture I took during the winter in North Myrtle Beach on Cherry Grove Beach looking at the pier. Finding that perfect place for a sunrise is something that I am always searching for. The problem with some of the places is that it takes a bit to get into position to get the shot that I want to capture. The wonderful thing about sunrises (and sunsets) is that at different times of the year they will rise and lower in different parts of the sky. So, my location for capturing this picture is only good during the winter. I need to find some summer locations.
This willow tree was uprooted during hurricane Matthew. I wasn't sure what they were going to do about it, but I am glad they have attempted to re-root it. It was very pretty when it was in bloom. I was lucky to capture this at the right time when the sun was just poking through.
I hadn't been out to capture a sunrise in a while, and I thought that this day would be a little fitting for some personal reasons of things going on in my life. It is always difficult to determine what the clouds coverage is going to look like before I head out, so sometimes it is a little bit of a risk of not being able to capture what I am looking for. I think I did a good job on this one.
