Snowy Egrets are absolutely lovely birds. I remember when I saw my first one when I moved here to South Carolina. I thought it was a rare occurance and was so upset with myself that I didn't capture a picture, but I came to find out that they are kind of common in the area. I just need to find a place and wait. Photography is a lot of patience. Sometimes I just like to set up my chair with my camera and wait. Sometimes I don't know what I am waiting for, but I will know it when I see it.
I love walking the beach in the morning. Almost everything is untouched from the night before, and I find shells that people haven't picked up to add to their collections, and even find shells that are holding some sea foam, like this one.
I love when clouds get a pink tint to them during sunsets. I really love taking pictures during sunset and sunrises. The problem I face is that I don't have places to go to capture them. Well, what I mean are places that give a nice clear view of the sky or skyline. It is one of the many things I miss about living in the North East. I could climb a mountain and get a beautiful view of the sunset from so many places. It is so flat down here in South Carolina that I have difficult finding open skies.
